    Description

    Vintage L.E. Smith dish, plate, decor.  It is made of heavy, molded black amethyst glass, which is the company's most collectible. It has a beautifully detailed rim, which is heavily lined in gold gilt.
    Amethyst glass appears black, but when you hold it up to a strong light, you see a gorgeous amethyst, or deep purple color - this amethyst or deep purple color is shown in the last photo.
    Art deco piece, circa 1930s, is in excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks.  Unsigned.  Some loss of gold gilt, as shown.
