RARE and Wonderful Vintage American Tiller
Do not see another Monkey Wards/Gilson vintage 8hp offered anywhere!
Learned
Gilson
was an early partner with
Bolens
.
In 1988 Gilson was acquired by
Lawn-Boy
then acquired by
Toro
in 1989.
Tiller is a  powerful, quality vintage and heavy machine.
Last year, it leaked gas.
Could not find its external leak source.
Although probably not needed,
Purchased new carburetor (also pictured on tiller),
Fixed bolt in right wheel better (not shown).
Really took care of this machine--even paint protected it.
New condition air filter, and a new pull rope.
Gas tank and throughout machine--NOTHING is rusted-out like the Utube trash dump finds.
This is a Southern States Machine and that's why.
WAS NEVER LEFT OUTDOORS.
