RAPID ROBERT
- This is a type of boat known as a MacKenzie River boat, designed for those wild rivers with fast, rough currents.
It is a ranked, smooth-bottomed, sturdy rowboat, able to twist and turn on a dime, with a high buoyant stern that will shoot through rapids, which would sink the best of other crafts.
In fact, you are safer in rapids with Rapid Robert than you are in a canoe in a normal river.
This boat also performs as an ordinary rowboat for more gentle waters.
You can attach an outboard motor also if you wish.
This boat is about 14 feet long and about 66 inches wide.
A real tough boat for the fun of rapids.
This is a 4 page set of plans which contains a complete bill of material telling you exactly what you will need to complete the project.
Made from plywood and wood framing this boat is tough for years of service.
